More Donations Pouring In For Tsunami Fund

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah yesterday afternoon received more contributions for the Aceh Tsunami Fund.

Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin Bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Chairman Board of Directors for Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, received the donations.

Yesterday’s donors were Gob Brothers and Goldsmith, $1,000; HajahAminah Haji Mail donated Yassin and Holy Al-Quran; Pusat Eshan, $702, collected by the centre's staff, members and volunteers; Persatuan Wanita Brunei (WI), $3,500; Awang Haji Mohammad Sutan, 3,000 pcs of mugs; PDAC Oceans

Sky Sdn Bhd, $3,500; Syarikat Pemasaran Brunei Shell, $10,000 for jet fuel; Institute Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah,, $2,700; and Ministry of Education, prayer veils and prayer mats donated by members of the public.

Royal Brunei Airlines has supported Yayasan Initiatives to delivered all the contributions made for the tsunami victims via a Boeing 767 aircraft, the Yayasan said. The aircraft is scheduled to leave Bandar Seri Begawan for Medan at 11:50 am today.

All the contributions to be carried by the RBA aircraft to Medan will later fly to Sabang Pulau Weh, Utara Aceh, and transported by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces aircraft CN235. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
