Missing Local Divers Found Safe In Thailand

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two Bruneian nationals, reported missing in one of the islands in Thailand in the aftermath of the tsunami disaster, have been found and are reported safe.

The parent of one of the Bruneians had called the Brunei Embassy in Bangkok to report that their daughter and her friend are safe, RTB reported.

The two were attending a scuba diving course in Thailand. As the family failed to receive any news from the two, they contacted the embassy for help Monday.

Almost half of the 5,187 confirmed dead in Thailand are foreign holidaymakers, according to the Thai interior ministry.

Some 3,810 more are still listed as missing -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
