His Majesty Names New Perm Sec In
Cabinet Shakeup

Begawan - The Prime Minister's Office announced yesterday that
by command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei, His Majesty appointed a new Permanent Secretary and
transferred some Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent
Secretaries at several government ministries.
Awang
Hj Mohd Hamid bin Hj Mohd Jaafar, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as Permanent Secretary
at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.
Dato
Paduka Awg Hj Idris bin Hj Belaman, Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources is now the Permanent
Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Yusoff bin Hj
Ismail, the Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Religious Affairs, is now the Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Home Affairs.
Dato
Paduka Awg Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Mohiddin, Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Home Affairs, has been transferred to the Ministry of
Religious Affairs in the same position.
Dato
Paduka Awg Hj Md Yusoff bin Hj Md Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, is now the
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications.
While Awg Hj Mahadi bin Pehin Orang
Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awg Abdul Rahman, Deputy
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, is now the Deputy
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the press release from
the Prime Minister's Office, these changes take effect from today,
Tuesday, 23 Zulkaedah 1425 corresponding to January 4, 2005. --
