Sultan Grants Farewell Audience To Chinese Envoy

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei yesterday afternoon received in audience Mr Wei Wei, the outgoing Ambassador of the People's Republic of China.

Mr Wei Wei has been the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brunei since January 2003. He will be ending his service this year.

At a separate venue, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Pg Muda Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah also granted a farewell audience to the outgoing ambassador.

Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, also granted a separate farewell audience to Mr Wei Wei at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.

Also present during the audiences at the Istana Nurul Iman was Pehin Dato Seri Paduka Hj Awang Yahya,the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
