HSBC rewards Promotion winner

HSBC Brunei held a prize presentation for the winner of the bank's Personal Instalment Loan Online Application Promotion on Thursday, a press release from the bank stated. The winner, Captain Sofian Hj Mohd Yassin, was selected from a pool of customers who applied for the HSBC Personal Instalment Loan via HSBC Internet Banking between September 1, 2004 and November 12, 2004.

Making the presentation was the deputy chief executive officer of HSBC Brunei, Simon Williams.

The promotion encouraged HSBC customers to use the wide range of services available on HSBC Internet Banking, said Ruey Chong of HSBC Channel Management. Through the service, customers can apply for loans and credit cards, while performing such transactions like buying and selling unit trusts, to overseas remittances, "all from the comfort of the customer's home or office."

"As the 'Best Retail Bank in Brunei', we will continue to offer innovative services and products to our customers," Williams said during the prize-presentation.
