Prayers And Cash Donations For Tsunami Victims

Bandar Seri Begawan – Prayers were offered and cash donations were pouring in for the survivors of the tsunamis battering six nations in Asia.

Despite the cancellations of New Year entertainments, tourists and holidaymakers in Brunei were not disappointed as they completely sympathised with the plight of the victims of the tsunami tragedy.

Ms Cheryl Evans, an Australian tourist, commented that her holiday was never affected by the cancellation of the New Year countdown festivities in the Sultanate.

This local family, spending their New Year holiday at a hotel in Jerudong, also voiced their sympathy for the tsunami victims in the neighbouring countries. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
