Prize Presentation For Netball Champions

Bandar Seri Begawan – A prize presentation ceremony for the First Netball Championship was held recently at the residence of Awang Hj Lamit bin Baha, the village head of Kampong Panchor Murai.

The Women Sports Council of Kg. Panchor Murai and Imang Neighbourhood Watch and the Consultative Council of Mukim Pengkalan Barn organised the event.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah al-Fatihah led by Awang Hj Roslaili bin Hj Buang.

A welcoming remark by Dayang Hjh Taliah bin Hj Lamit, the chairperson of the Women Sports Council, followed suit.

The championship was organised to foster closer ties among the villagers as well as to enhance the quality of players' expertise in playing netball.

Present as the guest of honour was Dyg. Hjh Siti Hani binti Hj Simpon, the wife of Penghulu Mukim Pengkalan Batu. She also presented the winners with their prizes. The ceremony ended with a 'Doa Selamat'. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
