Brunei’s Leading Hotels Hold Donation Drive For Tsunami Victims

Bandar Seri Begawan – Two of the leading hotels in Brunei, Sheraton Utama Hotel and The Centrepoint Hotel, have also responded to the misery and agony of the victims of the tsunami tragedy.

The Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong organised a donation drive in response to the plight of the victims in the affected Malaysian states.

The donation drive was conducted by the manager and the employees of The Centrepoint Hotel and was held among the hotel's staff members.

Some $920 was collected within a period of four days.

"The donation collected will then be given to the `Tsunami Disaster Fund', under the care of `The New Straits Times' Kuala Lumpur through the Malaysian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam," said the hotel manager, Mr Kamarul Zaman Dato' Abdul Rahim. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
