Animal shelter needed
By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Photo shows two dogs near a housing
estate in Chempaka Park. The need for an animal shelter intensifies as
the population of stray dogs roaming the streets, as well as housing
estates and villages, increases. Concerned public members say stray
animals are forced to fend for themselves, and as means of survival,
go through rubbish bins for food. Setting up animal shelters, they
say, not only bring relief to homeless animals in the country, but
also creates job opportunities for the unemployed.
