Police Hold Boys Dressed As Girls
For Questioning
Tutong
– As law enforcement agencies work together relentlessly to
curb the rate of crime in the country they have taken into custody a
group of boys dressed up as girls, the police said.
They were brought to the police
station for questioning after they were suspected to being involved in
“an entertainment activity” without legal permit.
On Thursday, the police and others
carried out a raid in the Tutong District in which 65 foreign
nationals including nine local youths were detained for questioning.
The joint operation involved some 80
law enforcers and police from the Lamunin and Tutong Police Stations
the Immigration Department the Royal Custom and Excise Department and
the Religious Enforcement Unit.
The raid was carried out at 9.15pm,
with living quarters of foreign workers in Tutong and Lamunin as their
targets.
At the temporary shelter close to the
Bukit Beruang Highway, several foreign workers were detained after
they failed to produce valid document.
A Thai woman who rented a shop was
also placed under custody for allegedly possessing 15 tins of
alcoholic drinks.
She is now detained at the Tutong
Police Station, for further questioning.
Meanwhile, another Thai woman was
also apprehended under the Immigration Act for falling to produce
travel documents.
The law enforcers made similar raids
