SCB welcomes Year of the Monkey

More than 400 guests got together
with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) to usher in the Year of Monkey at
the Centrepoint Hotel on Thursday night. The guests included
diplomats, government officials and valued customers of the bank.
With the theme "SCB Year of Monkey
Nite", Standard Chartered management and staff dressed up in
traditional Chinese attire to greet the guests.
Among those present were CEO of
Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Hans Theilkuhl and his wife, Head of
Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, Hajah Hasnah Binti Haji Asri
and other senior management staff.
In his speech, Mr Theilkuhl said that
in 2003, the bank had fulfilled many milestones, which will shape the
Year of the Monkey into an exceptional year for the bank.
He reiterated that Standard Chartered
Bank is committed to striving for creative and responsive ways to
continue being a financial partner by investing in the bank's most
valuable resources - people and products.
The night's performances included
dances and traditional Chinese music performed by Chung Hwa Middle
School students as well as several games and lucky draw which offered
prizes like return tickets to Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and
electronic goods.
