The long wait is over. The legendary Volkswagen Beetle has introduced the newest member of its family, the Beetle Cabriolet, to the Brunei market.

The launch of the new Beetle Cabriolet was held at Maju Motors Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Volkswagen, at Jln Tutong yesterday afternoon.

The new Beetle Cabriolet looks fun and stylish with leather interior and a striking dashboard.

The cute beetle is made for leisure driving with superb comfort and caters to the young generation.

The most important component of the car is the "electro hydraulic" roof top that opens and closes in less than 13 seconds.

Now anyone can enjoy a drive near the beach in the new Beetle to catch a bit of sunshine and fresh breeze.

The car is also produced with the safety of the driver and passengers in mind. The safety features include front and side airbags and a standard roll over protection system.

The six-speed automatic gearbox of the new Beetle Cabriolet 2.0 is fitted with a Tiptonic function (+/-) so the driver has the option of auto or shift gear.

Mrs Tay Huan Huan, the marketing manager, said that more than 20 new Beetle Cabriolets have been sold in Brunei, mostly to young people and families.

The new Beetle Cabriolet which comes in black, green, red, dark blue and other colours is now available at Maju Motors.
