Trio Plead Not Guilty To Alleged Theft, Mischief

Bandar Seri Begawan - Three local men aged 21, 32 and 30 pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft and mischief in the Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The trio, Rozailani Yusof @ Mohamad Yusof, Yunus Yusof @ Moharnad Yusof and Ramlan Haji Ahmad, who is also known as `Robot', denied stealing 7 metres of electricity cables valued at $385 and committing mischief on 18 metres of electricity cables.

They allegedly committed both offences on November 28 last year at The Mall in Gadong.

According to the Prosecuting Officer, Shamshuddin Haji Kamaluddin, the said cables belonged to Daya Engineering.

He said that ten witnesses would be called during the trial on May 26, 27 and 29 this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
