Brunei Ruler Honours People For Third Day Running

Bandar Seri Begawan – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizaddien Sultan of Brunei awarded more Brunei Honorary Medals yesterday with 419 people receiving them.

It was the third day of medal presentations and 1,272 people were honoured with the medals for their faithful service and good conduct.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji AI-Muhtadee Billah represented his Majesty Sultan of Brunei at the medals presentation at the Dewan Persantapan Lapau in the capital

His Royal Highness first consented to award the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) or Meritorious. Service Medal to 60 people.

One hundred and seventy one people received the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (PIKB).

They were the officers and staff of the government and members of the private sector.

Government officers and staff as well as members of the private sector who were awarded with the medals were recommended based on their record of good service and excellent conduct.

A hundred and fifty three people received the Pingat Kerja Lama or Long Service Medals.

At the ceremony, thirty-five police personals received the Pingat Kerja Lama Polis or Police Long Service Medals.

To bless the ceremony, doa selamat was read by Pehin Dato Paduka Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz.
