Recreational complex almost ready

The almost complete Liang Lumut Recreational Complex on Jalan Kecil Pantai Lumut.

A briefing and site visit to the Liang Lumut Recreational Complex was organised by the Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (BLNG) yesterday afternoon.

Present during the briefing was the Acting Belait District Officer Awg Hj Ali bin Matyassin, Ketua Kampong and representatives from other government sectors in Belait District. The BLNG Managing Director Hamdillah bin Hj Abd Wahab gave a speech. The Project Manager Awg Hanafi bin Hj Sabtu gave a briefing on the progress of the complex.

The $2.2 million Liang Lumut Recreational Complex is in a 4.5-hectare land across Lumut beach. It will offer a community hall with four badminton courts and a swimming pool in the first phase of the construction.

The first floor of the building will house the offices of the Mukim Penghulu and Ketua Kampong.

In subsequent phases, other facilities to be built include a 9- hole golf course, jogging tracks, chalets, restaurants and food stalls for local entrepreneurs. LCY Development Sdn Bhd was appointed to construct the Liang Lumut Recreational Complex.
