Six Women Pushers Held In Big Drug
Raid In Kampong Ayer

Begawan – Continued vigilance and surveillance by intelligence
officers of the Narcotics Control Bureau is paying off.
About 200 grams of the
Methylamphetamine was seized and 14 people, six of them women, were
detained in separate raids that were conducted by the Narcotics
Control Bureau early yesterday morning.
Of those apprehended, 11 were locals
and the three others were foreign nationals.
The raids were conducted on a house
in Kampong Saba and two other homes In Kampong Bolkiah B.
The Bureau believes that the seizure
of the drugs has enabled them to disrupt the activities of at least
three drug traffickers known to be active in Kampong Ayer.
The seizure also intercepted the
drugs from being distributed to drug users and addicts in the country.
The penalty for drug trafficking is
severe and may carry the death penalty.
