Another Batch Awarded Honorary Medals

Bandar Seri Begawan – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, of

Brunei has awarded the Brunei honorary medals to another 430 people.

His Majesty Sultan of Brunei was represented by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah at the Dewan Persantapan Lapau in the capital yesterday.

His Royal Highness first bestowed the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) or Meritorious Service Medal to 63 recipients.

Meanwhile 169 received the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (PIKB).

Recipients comprised officers and staff of the government of His Majesty Sultan of Brunei, reports Radio Television Brunei (RTB).

Government officers and staff awarded the medals are those who have good service records and excellent conduct while in service.

At the ceremony 198 people received the Pingat Kerja Lama or Long Service medals.

To bless the ceremony a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz.

Present at the ceremony were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Cheterias, cabinet ministers, members of council, diplomats, permanent secretaries and heads of department. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
