Indonesian Embassy to hold Aidil
Adha mass prayer

The Republic of Indonesia Embassy is
inviting Indonesian community members residing in Brunei Darussalam to
attend the annual mass prayer to mark Hari Raya Aidil Adha on February
2, 2004.
According to a statement issued
yesterday by the embassy, this will take place at 7 am in its vicinity
at Simpang 528, Kg Sungai Hancing Baru, Jalan Muara.
Leading will be a renowned Qari from
Indonesia as well as an advisor to Brunei's Ministry of Religious
Affairs, Ustadz Dr Hj Mirwan Batubara.
There will also be a religious talk
delivered by Ustadz Hj Abd, Qadir Umar Al-Hamidy, MA, who is a
renowned lecturer at UBD and Sultan Hj Omar Ali Syaifuddien Islamic
Studies Institute.
Following the event will be the
distribution of sacrificial meat to eligible recipients.
It would also be an opportunity for a
gathering to strengthen relationships between the embassy's staff and
those residing in Brunei.
Meanwhile on January 31 at 8pm, a
Takbir will also be organised at the same venue.
