Spirits summoned for 4-D luck in
Jalan Rasau
By Liza Mohd

Worship items at the Jln Rasau area.

The carved dragon head and body.
An area, which is believed to be used
to summon spirits for good luck, particularly in four-digit number
schemes, was uncovered along Jalan Rasau recently.
The two logs of wood with carvings
resembling the head and body of a dragon is believed to be used to
worship spirits.
Several residents nearby stated that
they constantly found traces of candles, yellow glutinous rice,
bananas and different types of food that were prepared in a plate and
placed in front of the carved wood.
According to them, they also saw from
a distance a few people gathering at the said area but were unsure of
what was going on.
One of them also stated that he
became aware of that area being used as a place of worship when one
morning while riding a bicycle, he found fresh food together with
lighted candles at the area.
Yesterday, the Bulletin discovered a
few red plates and food consisting of boiled beans, squeezed lime and
several other unidentifiable food products, laid out on pieces of
paper.
The carved wood was also seen to be
slightly burnt and hidden from view by bushes.
The area is said to be quite gloomy
at night as there are no street lights installed.
