By Rol Ezam

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two locals aged 22 and 33-years were brought to the Magistrate's Court yesterday to face a charge of stealing electrical cables from an electrical sub-station near the capital last year.

Both Awangku Saizam Pengiran Anak Said and Husli Tassan were remanded for a week at the Central Police Station for police to conduct further investigations, said the Prosecuting Officer, Mohammed Esnawi Hj Sharbawi yesterday.

They both understood the charge but no pleas were taken.

They were jointly charged together with Ibrahim Tassan with committing theft of the said cables from an electrical sub-station at Simpang 339 in Jalan Subok on November 23 last year at about 1:55 pm.

Both are facing an imprisonment term, which may extend to 7 years and a fine if convicted. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
