Engineers To Develop Networking
Skills

Begawan – As part of ongoing efforts to prepare young engineers
with professional skills to meet the country's development needs,
numerous activities have been arranged by Brunei Survey, Engineers and
Architect Organisation (PUJA).
This includes the Young Engineers'
Race, which is intended at exposing them to developing networking
skills.
The one-day race began this morning
at the Brunei Institute of Technology in Tungku.
Fifteen teams took part in the race
which offered a cash prize $1,500.
Muhammad Nazri bin Haji Tuah,
Chairman of the race said the race required participants to look for
check points which have been setup at several areas in the Brunei
Muara, Tutong and Belait Districts.
At every checkpoint, the participants
were also required to complete clues at every before proceeding to
other points. The clues were prepared by the committee two months
before the race.
Touching on the checkpoints, he said
the committee contacted the District Office, Forestry and other
government agencies for approval.
He further mentioned that the
participants of the race used their own vehicle.
A participant told that the race was
organised to test the ability of the young engineers both mentally and
physically.
The young engineers' society is an
affiliate member of PUJA.
They consist of undergraduates and
graduate engineers who are 35-years-old and below.
Brunei currently has about 300 local
