RBA’s
Cheap Bluesky Fares With $68 To KL A Big Hit
Bandar Seri
Begawan – The national carrier, Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) has
joined other regional airlines in offering cheap airfares to
passengers and it is a hit from the start.
Named as Bluesky Fares, the national
airline has taken a bold and aggressive step in slashing airfares up
to 50 percent, and in some cases even more.
This initiative has enabled Royal
Brunei Airlines to pit itself against the tough competition from other
airlines-which have already established in the low-cost air service.
Seven destinations are up on offer.
They are Kota Kinabalu, Kuching,
Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Kuala Lumpur and
Darwin.
The public reaction to the Bluesky
Fares has been simply overwhelming with destinations such as Kuala
Lumpur selling for as low as $68 one way.
For those wishing to travel under
this Bluesky fares program, need to log on to Royal Brunei's website
at www.bruneiair.com to place their bookings.
The validity of the ticket is from
February 1 to March 31, 2004 and goes with certain restrictions such
as fares are non-refundable once purchased, no changes are permitted
once booked, maximum stay of 30 days, no chid discounts applied.
Fares are not eligible for Royal
Skies mileage accrual.
A certain number of seats have been
allocated at the low price of $68.
However, should these sell out, seats
would then be sold at $138 one way for Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Jakarta,
Surabaya and Denpasar.
Passengers travelling on these
flights can expect a full range of services such as complimentary meal
and beverage service as well as in-flight entertainment.
This is one of the first signs of the
emergence of e-Commerce in Brunei.
With the introduction of
e-Government, it can be widely expected that more and more businesses
will begin to offer special discounts through, the Internet allowing
consumers to save more and increasing business activities in Brunei.
