Of strays & rubbish
By Zora

The extended public holiday for the Chinese New Year that continued on to a Friday, another public holiday, resulted in uncollected rubbish in some areas. The mounting and uncollected rubbish in some dumping areas was made worse by some stray animals searching through the bins.

In a residential area in Kg. Jangsak, rubbish scattered on the road resulted from being uncollected on time and left at the mercy of stray animals. Residents are pleading to those concerned to take necessary action in the wake of the current outbreak of several contagious diseases where good hygiene must be practised unconditionally.
