Belait converts complete course

Eighteen new male Muslim converts yesterday afternoon received certificates at the Kuala Belait Islamic Dakwah Centre for completing the 14-day Islamic foundation scheme Series 145 organised by the Islamic Dakwah Centre.

The participants were taught Islamic religious subjects such as Tauhid, Ibadat, Behaviour in Islam, Islamic Food, Cleanliness, Practical learning of prayers, Hafalan and Fardhu Kifayah.

During the closing and certificate presentation ceremony yesterday, the Chief of Belait Dakwah Unit Hj Adanan bin Hj Md Jaya highlighted that since 1990 till last year, 1,299 male and female converts had received a 10-day guide on the Introduction of Islam. And till yesterday, 890 new converts had completed the 14-day Islamic foundation course.

Chief guest was the Belait District Deputy Religious Officer Awg Hj Muhammad bin Garing. He delivered a speech to the new male converts.
