Holiday clean-up to help the community
By Malai Hassan Othman

All covered-up to fight litterbugs

With nothing much to do while the Chinese community in Belait was busy welcoming the New Monkey Year, some thoughtful companies thought of keeping their staff busy doing something noble than just letting the day pass wastefully.

Some people would perhaps just monkey around doing nothing but not in the case of Megamas, a leading local oil and gas training center in Belait.

Their staff, some all covered up, hit the road yesterday to help the community in a cleaning campaign.

As shown in the picture, Megamas instructors can be seen (all covered up) helping the community in a "clean-up" to remove rubbish thrown onto the roads in Kuala Belait.

The photograph shows the road from the Seria by-pass to the Mumong roundabout being cleaned-up by its Bruneian staff during the Chinese holiday period when no courses are being conducted at Megamas.
