Royal Brunei Police Marks 83rd
Birthday With Healthy Activities

Begawan – The Royal Brunei Police Force established in 1921will
mark its 83rd anniversary with various healthy activates, a police
department spokesman said.
A religious ceremony was held
yesterday to remember a policeman who lost his life while carrying out
his daily duty.
The bertahlil congregation took place
at the Muslim cemetery at Kampong Subok in Jalan Residency in the
capital.
It was for the late constable 2309
Awang Mohamad Izzat bin Abdullah who passed away on March 19, 1994 at
the age of 26.
The late Awang Izzat joined the
police force on the July 16, 1985 and served with the force for eight
years.
In March 19, 1994, the late Awang
Izzat was on duty when he involved in a car accident at area 20 Jalan
Mulaut/Limau Manis and passed away.
His death is remembered as he was on
duty serving to maintain peace and prosperity of the nation, a police
spokesman said.
The late Mohamad Izzat's name will be
not forgotten together with his ther colleagues of similar faith.
He survived a wife, Dayang Misbah,
two daughters and a son.
The Commissioner of Police, Dato
Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, other senior police officers and the demise's
