Canine controversy
By Rosli Abidin Yahya & Hj Mohd Said

An accommodation in a housing estate in Kg Mata-Mata Gadong has become a centre of controversy after neighbours alleged its occupants used the place to rear a large number of dogs.

They said the dogs were kept inside the house during the daytime but released in the locked compound when evening fell, making the area noisy with barking animals.

An occupant of a house next to the controversial accommodation said the smell from the dogs were unbearable at times and could reach the interior of his dwelling.

"We have had sleepless nights because of the noise from the dogs. The animals also incessantly barked at passers-by and vehicles," he said.
