In conjunction with the Vietnamese Traditional Lunar New Year (or Tet), the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr Ha Hong Hai and his wife Mdm Tran Thi Ngoc Tho held an open house at their residence in Gadong yesterday.

Foreign dignitaries in the Sultanate were among the guests attending the open house. Also present was the Brunei Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pehin Dato Seri Paduka Hj Awang Ali bin Hj Mohd Daud.

The Vietnamese Traditional Lunar New Year is held every year and it coincides with the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The Vietnamese ambassador, who has been in Brunei for approximately six years, thanked the guests who attended the function.

At the open house, guests were treated to a wide array of Vietnamese delicacies.
