Teachers promote a sports club

Encouraging students to sign up
At a recent school assembly in
Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna, staff presented
their plan for an extensive co-curricular activities (CCA) programme
for this academic year.
Teachers heading different CCA clubs
had the chance to talk with students on various activities they would
offer.
In his speech, Deputy Principal Cikgu
Abdullah Ismail said that the new programme is part of the school's
vision for excellence in academics, after-school activities and
discipline.
It is the first government school to
design such a wide-ranging CCA scheme for pupils.
There will be 36 different clubs
covering areas of sport, academia and religion. Sessions will run
every Thursday after school from 2.30 pm to 4 pm.
With its implementation, the Deputy
Principal hopes that they will take advantage of resources available
to acquire new skills.
"Once students have chosen their
activity, they should stand 100 per cent committed," he said in his
speech.
It aims to encourage an active
lifestyle as well as increased participation from pupils in all areas
of school life.
