The interior of the new Bukit Beruang Mosque

A key presentation ceremony was held yesterday morning to mark a new mosque at the Kampong Perpindahan Bukit Beruang.

They key was handed from the Acting Architect officer, Dyg Hj Maihani Hj Abd Hamid to Acting Assistant Director of Mosque Affairs Awg Hj Rahim Hj Tahir, representative from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. He presented the key to the Imam of Masjid Kampong Bukit Beruang, Awg Mohd Rosmadini Hj Mohd Yusof.

More than 50 Bukit Beruang residents attended the ceremony. Also present were representatives from the Public Works Department and officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The mosque, worth $1,982,849.01, took 15 months to complete on a 3.2-acre land. The project started on May 28, 2002 and was completed on Aug. 27, 2003.
