Restaurant Workers Prevent Major Fire

Bandar Seri Begawan - Speedy action by restaurant workers prevented a major fire at a six-storey shopping and apartment complex near the capital.

The Kompleks Mohamad Yusof at Mile 1 Jalan Tutong was saved yesterday from certain catastrophe at about 9.30 am yesterday when workers took speedy action.

Armed with fire extinguishers and buckets of water, they managed to put out a fire that started at the kitchen situated on the second floor of the shopping complex.

The fire was believed to have started from a leaking gas cylinder. When the firemen arrived, the fire was already under control.
