For Quality and Equity in Education

A workshop on Quality and Equity in Education (QEE) was conducted by the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam at SEAMEO VOCTECH on January 20, 2004 from 8 am to 4 pm.

Organised by the ministry, this event is part of the SEAMEO-QEE initiative.

Director of Schools, Dyg Apsah Hj Abd Majid, was in attendance during the first day.

The programme commenced with a briefing by Assistant Director of Schools, Secondary Division, Cikgu Jamal Hj Kahar.

It was followed by his presentation of QEE based on Malaysia's experience.

There were presentations from 17 government and private secondary schools as well.

Principals and headmasters from the different districts in Brunei Darussalam also participated.

This activity will take place every Tuesday until February 3, 2004.
