Red Crescent Society inviting more
volunteers

Volunteer Aid Detachment of Brunei
Darussalam Red Crescent Society have urged the public, including
expatriates, to come forward and help by becoming members of its
uniform body.
According to Ms Elizabeth Chiew Yun
Fung, Assistant Secretary General of BDRCS and appointed as Focal
Person of Disaster Preparedness and Response Team, the invitation is
not only open to youths but also pensioners in the country.
Their services and participation are
most welcomed for sharing talents and knowledge with other
professionals in the team.
"We are inviting every
non-governmental organisation and national society to join two
categories; namely Committed to 24-hour Disaster Emergency Response
Team and Free Leisure to its activities.
"They are under the four services of
Disaster Preparedness, Training and Development, Welfare and Community
Services as well as First Aid and Health Care."
"It is not open to students as they
are already in under schools' ECA," she added.
"We will be coordinated and
cooperative to act, help, contribute, organise, educate, promote,
strive, recruit and strengthen in achieving main goals through team
spirit," she remarked.
Forms are obtainable at several
selected shops throughout the country.
