Working towards cleaner govt
buildings in Belait
By Liza Mohd

The meeting which was conducted yesterday and chaired by the Belait
District Office
The government heads of department
were called to continuously address the cleaning works in and out of
the office building where they are presently assigned at, following
the lack of cleanliness at a few areas within the government building
in Belait District.
To further ensure that consistent
cleaning is conducted, building or office cleaning schedules should be
organised by heads of department, paying close attention to the
reliability of cleaners to ensure that they do a good job.
This issue was discussed at a meeting
yesterday morning, where steps to organising a 'gotong-royong' were
examined. The meeting was chaired by the Belait District Office and
attended by all government departments in the district.
The work would involved all
government officers and staffs at the new building including the old
building accommodating the District Office, Radio Television Brunei,
Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP) and more. Work is expected to begin
January 25.
Few areas at the new government
complexes, which house departments such as Immigration, Labour, Land
Office, Survey Office, Finance, Agriculture and Information, are in
need for cleaning.
The meeting also witnessed the
appointment of committee for the "gotong-royong".
