Brunei Gas Presents Emblems To The
Long And Faithful

Begawan – The Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas and Refinery
Sendirian Berhad held its Emblem Night in appreciation of its
long-service staff serving with the Shell group.
The long service emblems were
presented to staff who have served from between 10 to 35 years with
the BLNG.
Among the recipients were pioneers of
the liquefied natural gas project for over more than 30 years.
The function was also in honour of
BLNG staff for their contributions to the achievements of BLNG last
year.
The company's Managing Director, Dato
Haji Hamdillah presented the awards to those who served from 25 to 35
years with the company.
While Haji Said, Senior General
Manager presented the emblems to staffs that have been in service for
the past 20, 15 and 10 years.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary at the
Prime Minister's Office, Pengiran Dato Haji Abu Bakar was present at
the event at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
Amongst BLNG'S major achievements
last year include the highest ever recorded number of cargoes shipped
to its buyers in Japan and Korea, namely the 214 ‘B’ class cargoes.
BLNG
also commemorated 30 years of successful partnership with Japan, its
biggest liquefied natural gas buyer last year.
The company has already embarked on
the first of its major plant rejuvenation projects that is the
replacement of four of its main cryogenic heat exchangers, heart of
the liquefaction process, with a more current sophisticated
technology.
The first two will be replaced this
year whilst the other two are scheduled for next year.
The project is to ensure continuous
supply of liquefied natural gas to buyers over the next 30 years.
