PUJA Welcomes Young Professionals
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Young professionals are urged to join the
Organisation of Brunei Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) as
its members are slightly growing.
Dato
Paduka Awang Haji Zakaria, PUJA president, made this appeal at PUJA’s
Annual General Meeting 2003 at Universiti Brunei Darussalam yesterday.
He said PUJA is an active
organisation in handling government matters related to engineering.
He noted that the organisation has
brought a lot of benefits to the organisation through its three
divisions, namely architectural, engineering and surveying.
Each division, he noted, has
implemented its respective activity.
However, Dato Awang Haji Zakaria said
the activities need to be further improved for the future of PUJA.
The day-long meeting discussed, among
other matters, the approval of minutes of the association’s annual
general meeting for the last year and matters arising from the minutes
of the 2002 annual general meeting.
A report from the Vice President of
Engineering, Architecture and Surveying Division on the selection of
its new president and council members for 2003 until 2005 was also
heard by the attendees.
To date, PUJA has 100 corporate
members, 16 graduates, 14 associate members and a student. It was
formed in 2001. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
