District received their first goodwill visit from the 'Kelab dan
Rekreasi Jabatan Kerajaan Tedungan' or KESDAR this week.
The delegation of around 30 personnel
from five different government departments, namely Police, Customs,
Immigration, Agriculture and Fisheries Departments, of the Limbang
division were led by the Senior Assistant Customs Director, Limbang.
The group was warmly welcomed in a
ceremony held at Parit Mini Perayaan Park in Kg Pengkalan Batu, which
was organised by the Limau Manis Police Station.
Present at the ceremony as the guest
of honour was the Commanding Officer of Jerudong Police District, Supt
Mohd Zaini bin Hj Mohd Sanip. About 60 personnel from the Sengkurong
and Limau Manis Police Stations also attended the ceremony.
Three friendly sports events were
held during the ceremony, including volleyball, tug-of-war and
football. The KESDAR team won the football match 3-1, while RBPF won
the rest of the events.
The main aims of such a visit were to
strengthen ties as well as to exchange ideas and views regarding
professional matters of both parties.
It was also hoped that the visit
would enhance bilateral relationships between Brunei and Malaysia in
general. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
