The participants visited Kampong
Tamoi Ujong in Kampong Ayer.
On arrival at the residence of
Pengarah Awang Haji Mokti, Penghulu Mukim Tamoi, the ACWW delegates
were welcomed with the presentation of a Brunei traditional song
followed with Bermukun.
Some of the delegates even showed
their talents in dancing.
The delegates also had a look at how
a local delicacy, ‘kueh lala’, was prepared.
Apart from that, the visitors were
also treated with some other traditional delicacies namely Kueh
Selurut, Panyaram and Chinchin.
The ACWW delegates also had an
opportunity to look closer on basket making using pandan leaves, a
kind of screw-pine and bamboo, and tudung dulang making.
The visitors' trip to Kampong Ayer
was the country's efforts to popularise the local arts and craft
products among foreign visitors as well as to encourage the sale of
these products to them. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
