Government Responsible For Moulding Disciplined Youth

Bandar Seri Begawan - Moulding a responsible, knowledgeable and well-disciplined youth is an important task of the government.

This was stressed by Awang Japar Bin Bangkol, Director of Youth and Sports, yesterday.

Awang Japar was speaking at the presentation of certificates to the participants who successfully completed the self-esteem course organised by the centre of the outward bound of Brunei.

According to him, the government is providing various programmes and basic necessities to support the objective in achieving a generation of a well-rounded youth.

Meanwhile, a total of 11 youths aged between seven and 37 years old, took part in the first series of Ba'ath program for ten days in the Temburong District.

Among the activities lined up was canoeing from the Ulu Temburong National Park to the Batang Duri outward bound logistic centre.

Such activity was aimed at fostering and upgrading their self integrities.

Apart from that, participants also contributed their energy to community works in children handicapped guidance class in Bangar Town.
