Halaqah Tilawatil Tilt Improves Quran Reading Ability

Bandar Seri Begawan – The 'Halaqah Tilawatil Quran' or the holding of Quran reading competition serves to help readers to further improve on their Quran reading ability.

Such a function would develop deeper love and understanding amongst mosque congregation towards the holy Quran and the Muslim community as a whole.

Towards this end, the Islamic eminence development and communication section of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in co-operation with Mosque Affairs Department, held such an event to prosper mosques in the country.

The programme provided both male and female readers with the opportunity to recite the holy Quran with correct intonation and to have confidence in reading it in public.

The participants involved readers who had taken part in the National and International Quran Reading Competitions.

The Halaqah Tilawatil Quran was held at the Setia Ali Mosque in Pekan Muara.

The project was extended to other selected mosques in all the four districts.
