HMI Marketing donates $10,000 to Pusat Ehsan

The centre's manager Major (R) Pg Hj Tajuddin (centre) receives a donation of $10,000 from Wizani Hj Muhammad, the manager of HMI Marketing and is witnessed by Hajah Wizanah Hj Muhammad and Hjh Fauzani Hj Muhammad.

A local business establishment has donated $10,000 to support the existing programme for special people in the community and towards future expansion of services at Pusat Ehsan in Bengkurog.

Major (R) Pg Hj Tajuddin bin Pg Hj Md Yassin, the centre's manager received the donation from Wizani Hj Muhammad, the manager of HMI Marketing and Promotion at the centre's administration office.

Major (R) Pg Hj Tajuddin thanked the local establishment for their kind donation in providing skill development for the nation's unfortunate few.

He said the donation would go a long way in helping the special people to learn skills and be independent by selling the products they made.

HMI Marketing and Promotion managed a trade exhibition for sthe centre entitled Pusat Ehsan International Trade Expo 2003, which was held last October/November at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in Berakas.

The event was also used by the centre to increase public's awareness in extending a helping hand to the unfortunate people.

Major (R) Pg Hj Tajuddin said not many people were aware of the existence of Pusat Ehsan in Bengkurong and so at the last expo, an information centre was set up to inform the public on the daily activities of Pusat Ehsan.

Pusat Ehsan currently helps 80 special people during the day where they participate in one of the three programmes: mental-link unit, early intervention for special children and handicraft skills learning.

The special people usually sell their products to the public for a living.
