Flag handing-over ceremony

Tuan Hj Abd Latif bin Mail, Acting Director of Fire Services Department handing over the Brunei Flag to the Special Squad officers.

A handing-over ceremony of the national flag was held yesterday at the Fire Services Headquarters in Berakas. The event was to mark the sending off of five Special Squad officers who will be going to Manila, Philippines for training.

The five officers will be taking part in the 'Regional Insarag International Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Exercise' in Manila, Philippines.

The team will leave for the Philippines on January 18. The five-day training takes place from January 19 till the 23.

The course will be organised and handled by the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) Philippines and United Nation Office for the Coordination Of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA).

Present to honour the ceremony was the Acting Director of the Fire Services Department, Tuan Hj Abd Latif bin Mail. He handed over the flag to the five officers.
