What it should have been

In the story "Policeman's driver jailed for eight months for house break-ins" on page 3 of the Borneo Bulletin dated yesterday, the convict was actually sentenced to eight years' imprisonment plus eight strokes of the cane, and not as published. The error is regretted.

In the story "Leftovers are over - with the In-Sink-Erator" on page 6, Brunei has recently been appointed as an International Service Agent for world's leading manufacturer of domestic food waste disposer, and "the In-Sink-Erator food waste disposer was invented in 1927 and has reached its 60th anniversary, therefore Bruneian consumers will be using the best food waste disposer."
