To demonstrate its appreciation to
local diners for their support, Jollibee Foods Corp is having a burger
festival at all branches in Brunei Darussalam until January 31.
Buyers of two burger products will
get a third one for free. The burger festival, said Jollibee's
manager, had been ongoing since January 11. Jollibee in Brunei grew
from a branch in Utama Bowling Complex in 1987 to four branches today.
Jollibee
also has other branches at Gadong, Seria and Yayasan Sultan Haji
Hassanal Bolkiah in the capital.
The company, which started as an ice
cream outlet in Manila, said it is now in the process of establishing
operating procedures and standards in preparation for the eventual
expansion here.
The Borneo Bulletin once reported
that Jollibee Foods Corp. emerged as Asia's most admired company and
the Philippines' leading company in separate surveys carried out by
two regionwide business publications, Hong Kong-based Asian Business
Magazine and Far Eastern Economic Review.
The polls are meant to recognise
Asian companies for their efforts to improve the range and quality of
their products and services and expand their business, thereby
maintaining market leadership, especially in the light of prevailing
economic difficulties.
