Mailing money to Indonesia at your
own risk
The administration of Indonesian Post
recently reported that their authority has been receiving several
valuable items such as foreign currency, cheques and coins in the
registered mails, EMS and packages from Brunei. These costly items are
prohibited from being delivered through the post in accordance to the
World Post Regulation Article 25 Part 5.
Most of the posted valuable items
were found to be missing when Indonesian Post authority wanted to
collect them for processing.
The Brunei and Indonesian Post
administrations as well as other transportation agencies will not be
held responsible in giving compensation on any missing valuable items
delivered through the post.
With regards to this matter, the
Brunei Postal Department in a press release reminded the public not to
deliver such items through the post.
