Her Majesty Graces Dinner For
SEA-Far East Women

Begawan – Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha
attended a dinner to mark the 7th Area Conference Associated Country
Women of the World (ACWW) for Southeast Asia and the Far East on
Sunday night.
Upon arrival at the Empire Hotel and
Country Club in Jerudong, the executive committee and members of
Brunei Women’s Institute (WI) and the committee of the 7th ACWW for
Southeast Asia and Far East welcomed Her Majesty.
Present were Kebawah Duli Yang
Teramat Mulia Tengku Puan Pahang, Tengku Azizah Aminah Maimunah
Iskandariah Binti Sultan Iskandar Al Haj, Her Royal Highness Princess
Hajah Rashidah Saadatul Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah
Masna.
There were traditional dances at the
ceremony.
The 7th Area Conference Associated
Country Women of the World (ACWW) for Southeast Asia and Far East now
is now taking place in Brunei which will end on January 17.
ACWW
is the largest international organisation of rural women and
homemakers with a membership of over nine million members in 70
countries worldwide, majority of whom depend on agriculture for a
living.
ACWW
is active in sustainable development projects, in agriculture training
and development, micro credit/income generation, nutrition and health
issues including HIV/AIDS prevention and education, literacy,
environmental issues and access to clean water and sanitation.
Brunei first hosted a similar
