Raids Held Throughout The Country

Bandar Seri Begawan - Three foreign workers were detained for further investigation in a raid codenamed "Operasi Ugan 6" for alleged gambling.

Two Filipinos were also detained for failing to produce valid documents.

Another eight foreigners were investigated for valid travel documents, from that two failed to provide any and were taken to the Sengkurong police station for further questioning.

The raid, which started at around 10.30 pm ended at midnight and was carried out at Kampung Mulaut by six police officers from Jerudong headed by the Traffic Investigation Unit.

Cash and a mobile phone believed to enclose texts of several 4-digit numbers were confiscated in the raid.

Meanwhile, a team of law enforcement officers comprising ten CID officers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and seven personnel from the Royal Brunei Police of Limau Manis Police Sattion held a routine inspection at the border of Kuala Lurah control post last night in an operation called "Kedengan 2".

The aim of the operation was to inspect and prevent any illegal substances front being brought into the country.

During the operation, three locals where caught on suspicion of having consumed alcoholic substances.
