Free Trip To UK Up For Grabs

Bandar Seri Begawan - How would you like to spend two weeks in the United Kingdom -- for free?

An all expense paid trip to the UK, offered by the British Council, is up for grabs to all students of Brunei between the ages of 16 and 18. However, only two will be selected.

A briefing session for the "Real UK 2004 Competition" was held at the Caesar Room I & II, Orchid Garden Hotel on Saturday.

Students who wish to take part in the competition will have to make a short video - either on VHS tape or digital (copied on to a CD) format, according to Ms Amanda Griffith, the director of British Council. The video should not be longer than three minutes.

In the video, students should tell a something about themselves, such as what they think of studying, why an education in UK would benefit them and what they think about UK.

The judges' final decision will be made by the end of this month. The UK trip is scheduled to take place in March this year.
