UBD's Professor releases 9th book

An Associate Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam has another book out, his ninth publication over the past ten years. In his latest effort, Dr Hj Hashim Hj Abd Hamid collected 11 of the working papers he presented at local and international levels from July 2001 until October 2003.

The collection entitled Titipan Bawah Peningkah (Message from the Lower Strata of People) could be purchased directly from him at the UBD's Academy of Brunei Studies or Malay Literature Department at a promotional price of B$7.

He described the book as a platform for discussion between academicians and those in authority to find common ground and work together for the nation's betterment. He said that the papers included in the publication do not reflect his best work as he has presented 94 of them in total at conferences.

To date, the Associate Professor has written 8 books - Junjung Tinggi (1993), Riak Sastera Darussalam (1994), Cerucuk Budaya Brunei (1999), Lanang Beladu Lanang: Pengantar dan Koleksi Pantun Brunei (2001), Bicara Sastera Brunei (2002) and Islam Di Brunei Darussalam: Satu Analisis Sosio-Budaya (2003), Memorinduku (2003).
