Jobless Man Nabbed For Stealing Trousers

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 31-year-old unemployed Bruneian was sentenced to a month's imprisonment yesterday for stealing a pair of trousers from a supermarket in Gadong four days ago.

The defendant, Ruslan Hj Kunchang hid the said trousers inside the front part of his trousers before he was stopped by a security guard, said the Prosecuting Officer H. Zelda Skinner.

He went to the said supermarket using his car with the intention to steal.

He parked his car not far away from the said supermarket and went to the first floor where he took a pair of blue “Legend” trousers which was displayed, the prosecutor added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
